PorkU Barbecue Class Information & Schedule

We call our barbecue class the Universitatus de Porcinas, also known as PorkU. It has turned out to be a tremendously popular event in great demand. Sam and Dave wish to thank you for your interest in and support of PorkU. Here is all the information you need.

The Basic Facts

Cost: $200.00 per person. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit required with the time of application.

When: One Saturday, per month, April thru September. Applications will begin being accepted on
March 1st.

  1. April 5, 2008-This class is complete.
  2. May 10, 2008-This class is complete.
  3. June 21, 2008-This class is complete.
  4. July 19, 2008-This class is full.
  5. August 16, 2008-This class is full.
  6. September 20, 2008-This class is full.

Due to overwhelming demand, one extra PorkU class has been scheduled for October 4, 2008. Please call Karen at 770-429-1001 for availability.

Number of Students: Maximum of 15 per class.

Length of Class: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Class Format

We will begin at 9:00am and end at approximately 6:00pm with a barbecue feast. We will have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. BYOB. Bring a pen or penci and containers for left-over food, if any.

What Else You Get

Exclusive PorkU apron and hat (available only to PorkU graduates), resource booklet created by Sam Huff, and a genuine graduation certificate proclaiming you to be a MASTER OF BARBECUE!

MORE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Deposits do not transfer to next year- they must be used in the year purchased. Use it or lose it.

WE HAVE DECIDED TO DISCONTINUE THE GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR 2008.

We will begin taking applications and deposits on a first come-first served basis on March 1, 2008. A $100 deposit is required at the time of application.

We will begin accepting applications for the schedule of classes on March 1st. Please send us an application and payment with your choice of class dates. Remember, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.

Conditions of Application

Send $100.00 with your application. It's non-refundable.

You will NOT be allowed to change class dates once a confirmation has been made. All classes fill up quickly and we cannot accomodate students slipping to later dates once confirmation has been made.

Do not forget to show up for class because other people want those spaces and we can fill them, plus we order supplies and food for each person.

Final Confirmation

After we get your application and deposit check, we will send out a confirmation by email, along with directions to Wits End Farm, about a week or 10 days before the class. So if you reserve a spot in the April class, be sure to put it on your calendar for April, (or whenever). You won't hear from us until close to class time, so don't forget. And make sure we have good contact information because we do it all by email.

Please do whatever it take to make sure we don't get defined as SPAM; otherwise, you may not hear from us.
