At the request of Senator Johnny Isakson, Sam & Dave's catered a luncheon for the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C. Every year, each Seantor has a chance to host a luncheon showcasing the best cuisine representative of their home state. Sam & Dave's was honored to be invited to serve the finest in Georgia BBQ and to do so, they took their cookers, hickory wood, and equipment to Washington D.C. where they cooked, as usual, all night before the luncheon. They also served a buffet to about 85 dignitaries and military personnel in Senator Isakson's offices as wwell in the Russell Senate Office Buidliing, adjacent to the U.S. Capitol. Nothing could be finer than the aroma of that Georiga hickory and barbecue smoke floating over downtown Washington.
